This example shows a way to implement a weapon inventory system for a platform shooter.
I tried to use as little GML code as possible, if I did use code, it's clearly explained how and why (I think).
The system shows the currently selected weapon and its ammo at the bottom. There's a button to show the weapon-overview, a keyboard-shortcut W has been added. When showing the overview (object inventory_screen), all other instances are deactivated and you can see the full information on the state and powers of the weapons.
